The Monitor Technician is responsible for the continuous surveillance of patient cardiac rhythms and the prompt identification of arrhythmias. They must communicate findings to the healthcare team and ensure that all monitoring equipment is functional and correctly configured.
Candidates must complete a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during the orientation period and possess Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification. The role requires 0-2 years of clerical or clinical experience in a medical setting.
