Austin - Austin, TXTHERAPY 2000, a home-based provider of pediatric Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services, has an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. This full-time, part-time, PRN position is based in our Austin division.
Ideal
Experience: High-Risk Infant (HRI) We’re specifically seeking an SLP with experience supporting high-risk infants (HRI), including those with prematurity, low birth weight, NICU stays, feeding/swallowing challenges, and early developmental delays. This role is ideal for a clinician who is confident working with infants and their caregivers in the home environment, providing early intervention that supports feeding, communication, and overall developmental outcomes during a critical stage of growth. Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and guiding families through early milestones is highly valued.
Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric speech language pathology.
