This role requires competency in performing stereotactic biopsy and/or executing quality control procedures specific to mammography. The technologist must also be able to perform all types of mammography studies, including needle localization and ductograms, often working with autonomy.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold ARRT registration with certification in Radiography and Mammography (R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT)). Qualification to perform stereotactic procedures or quality control, along with current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, is mandatory.
