The Speech Pathologist administers diagnostic testing to determine patient impairment and develops measurable treatment plans to improve functional outcomes. They also provide analytical documentation of patient care and collaborate with medical personnel regarding progress and discharge planning.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA. A valid license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and current CPR certification are required.

Trains new personnel as required, assists the Manager with on the job training.

Master's Degree in Speech Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
One to two years experience with swallowing disorders preferred.
Adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics of the ASHA.
Maintains current CPR certification.
Demonstrates current clinical competency.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
MATHEMATICAL and COMPUTER SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.
