The Cardiac Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures at a technically proficient level while ensuring accurate image labeling and documentation. They are responsible for positioning patients, operating ultrasound equipment, and assisting in the diagnosis and therapy of diseases.
Candidates must have at least three years of experience in an outpatient facility or hold relevant certifications such as RDCS, RDCSAE, or RDMS. A strong working knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound imaging, anatomy, and departmental protocols is required.
