The technician is responsible for performing all cytopreparatory functions and making independent decisions regarding laboratory processes. They report directly to the Cytology Prep Team Leader or Supervisor to ensure efficient workflow.
Candidates should have strong finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle specimens and laboratory equipment. While not required, two years of experience in Anatomic Pathology is preferred.
Under general supervision, position is proficient in all of the functions required of the Cytopreparatory Technician I. They are directly responsible for decision making, interacting and reporting to the Cytology Prep Team Leader/Supervisor and/or Manager.
