The Research Technician II will assist with technical and operational aspects of translational lymphoma research, including specimen processing, mouse studies, and laboratory experiments. They will also maintain laboratory equipment, manage data entry, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
The position requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should be capable of performing routine laboratory techniques and working effectively within a research team.

The Research Technician II will assist with the technical and operational aspects of research studies within a translational lymphoma laboratory focused on understanding lymphoma biology through integrated mouse models, in vitro systems, and human biospecimen (peripheral blood, tumor tissue, etc.) analyses. This position will support laboratory experiments, specimen processing, mouse studies, data entry, and general laboratory operations. The Research Technician II will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Research Laboratory Supervisor, and other laboratory personnel to ensure efficient and high-quality execution of research activities.
Job Description: Primary
Assists with research studies, experiments and assays, including collection of data, preparation of solutions and setup and maintenance of equipment. Performs routine laboratory techniques, including cell culture, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR-based assays, flow cytometry sample preparation, and preparation of reagents and buffers. Assists with acquisition, processing, storage, and tracking of human biospecimens, including blood and tissue samples. Supports mouse studies, including animal handling, genotyping sample collection, monitoring of research animals, and assistance with tissue harvest procedures under approved protocols. Performs data entry and maintains data files on research. Prepares tissue cultures, reagents, probe tests, etc. Complies with established safety procedures and maintains required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions. Ensures lab conditions and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with established procedures. Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
