The Staff Nurse will conduct medical assessments, intake screenings, and implement physician orders for patients with substance use and mental health disorders. They are responsible for monitoring drug and alcohol withdrawal, maintaining patient charts, and providing patient education on recovery topics.
Candidates must hold a current RN or LPN license in Massachusetts and possess a certificate, associate, or bachelor degree in nursing. One year of nursing experience is preferred, along with current CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within three months.

The Staff Nurse, RN or LPN will have knowledge and understanding of substance abuse and mental health illness and the capability to provide treatment consistent with standards of professional care. This position requires the physical ability to perform emergency treatment, e.g. CPR, assisting patients with routine care, etc. The RN or LPN will conduct a medical assessment, intake screening exams, and have the capability to implement physician’s standing orders.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job.
• Certificate, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• One year of experience in nursing is preferred.
