The incumbent performs nursing procedures, collects and processes specimens, and assists physicians with examinations and treatments. They are also responsible for observing, recording, and reporting the physical and mental condition of patients.
Candidates must possess a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license and Basic Life Support certification. A minimum of 6 months of experience in an acute care setting is required.

What It Takes to be Successful
*This position can be filled as a Vocational Nurse or a Sr. Vocational Nurse. If this position is filled as a Vocational Nurse position a lower pay scale will be utilized as the Vocation Nurse position is considered to be a lower level role. Required Qualifications: Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Minimum 6 months experience working as an LVN in an acute care setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Understanding of JCAHO requirements Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Vocational Nurse Basic Life Support
