The Intake Coordinator manages the intake process for the Refugee Health Promotion Program by conducting health assessments and identifying client needs. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate case files, ensuring grant compliance, and acting as a cultural liaison between clients and service providers.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's or associate degree in a related field or equivalent nonprofit experience, along with excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. A mature Christian faith and a valid driver's license with a clean record are also required.

The Intake Coordinator helps with the intake process for potential clients into the Refugee Health Promotion Program. The intake coordinator will evaluate clients’ needs through a health and wellness assessment that are then shared with the health navigators. The intake coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring all documents are completed and uploaded into the database. This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until September 30, 2026, and contingent upon funding extension. \n
Be familiar with program guidelines and requirements for grant and funding sources Operate as a cultural liaison between clients and staff, service providers, and volunteers to ensure services are culturally and linguistically accessible to clients Lead out in client recruitment, eligibility screening, and enrollment Work with clients to identify strengths and barriers to successful health and wellness integration, then establish a plan of care Communicate client needs, and feedback to teammates Keep accurate records of client documents Administer assessment tools to monitor clients’ needs Manage client case files, ensuring they are current and accurate with all necessary documentation Achieve grant requirements and deliverables through timely, high-quality services Assist in drafting reports (narrative, data, financial) to grantors, donors, and volunteers Participate in on-going training to improve service delivery and ensure compliance Participate in required department, office, and national meetings and trainings, including travel to Preferred Communities national conference Collaborate in onboarding and training new caseworkers Other duties as assigned
Mature and personal Christian faith Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and nonprofit experience. Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record. Periodic evening and weekend availability required. Authorization to work legally in the U.S.
Ability to provide quick and accurate interpretation and translation in any of the preferred languages: Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Ukrainian, Haitian Creole, and Spanish. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office applications, experience with online record keeping and data entry, and familiarity with digital communication tools such as Zoom and Teams
