The social worker assesses the psychological needs of patients to provide recommendations to medical staff. They also facilitate direct services to ensure patients utilize healthcare resources effectively for safe and timely discharges.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree from an accredited School of Social Work. Two years of experience as a medical social worker is preferred, along with a Pennsylvania Social Worker license and CPR certification.
The Social Worker II assesses the patient's psychological situation in order to make recommendations to medical personnel, and provides direct services that ensure the patient's best use of health care services including safe and timely discharges.
