The Ambulatory Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care, including patient assessment, procedure assistance, and medication administration within a dermatology setting. They also facilitate patient education, coordinate care for skin conditions, and support departmental quality initiatives.
Candidates must hold a valid Illinois Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license and possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. A college diploma in nursing is required to perform these clinical duties effectively.
The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
