Care Managers provide rehabilitative treatment, crisis intervention, and professional-level case management for clients in residential settings. They also facilitate skill-building activities, provide medication support, and assist with daily living tasks like meal planning and grocery shopping.
Candidates must possess a valid California driver's license, auto insurance, and pass a background check including CACI, DOJ, and FBI. A minimum of two years of work experience in a mental health-related field is required, with specific education requirements for higher-level classifications.
May work across all agency programs as needed. Occasional flexible work schedule required to meet individual client needs. Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points). Must pass a clear background check with CACI, DOJ & FBI. CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment. This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client. Employees with direct responsibility for children who are under 18 years of age or who are not emancipated from the foster care system and who, in either case, are receiving 24 hour residential care, and employees of 24 hour residential care facilities for the elderly, blind or developmentally disabled individuals may be required to work on-duty meal periods without penalty when necessary to meet regulatory or approved program standards and one of the following two conditions is met: The residential care employees eats with residents during residents' meals and the employer provides the same meal at no charge to the employee; or An employee, except for the night shift, may exercise the right to have an off-duty meal period upon 30 days' notice to the employer for each instance where an off-duty meal is desired, provided that, there shall be no more than one off-duty meal period every two weeks. Driving Requirement: Driving is a required function of this position. Employees must use a personal vehicle that meet all agency requirements, including maintaining liability insurance that meets or exceeds state requirements. Employees are responsible for ensuring the timely renewal of their vehicle insurance policies and providing updated documentation to the agency to remain in good standing and compliant with position requirements. Training Provided: Comprehensive onboarding including CPR/First Aid, Crisis Communication/Pro-ACT, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Collaborative Problem Solving.
