The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and perform critical procedures in a neurosciences intensive care unit. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to monitor patient progress and ensure high-quality clinical outcomes.
Candidates must hold an associate's degree in nursing or a relevant field and possess current NP or PA certification and state licensure. At least one year of experience in critical care, ICU, or neurology is required, along with proficiency in EMR systems.

As an NP or PA, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in critical care and neurology settings. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations Develop and implement individualized care plans Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams Provide education and support to patients and their families Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records Participate in quality improvement initiatives Stay current with advancements in critical care and neurology practices
Associate's degree in Nursing or relevant field Current NP or PA certification and state licensure Experience in critical care and neurology settings preferred Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Commitment to ongoing professional development and education Level I Trauma
Schedule: 3x 13-hour shifts per week
Rotate days, nights, weekends, and holidays
9-bed Neurosciences Critical Care Unit, expanding to 12 beds
Patient history and physical exams, developing and executing diagnostic and treatment plans, interpreting lab work, imaging, and physiological data, and procedures
Required Procedures: Central and arterial line placements
Team Structure: 5 neurointensivists and 10 APPs
Experience: 1+ years in critical care, ICU, or neurology
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
