Oversee the treatment of sick, injured, and abused animals, including performing surgeries, dentistry, and spay/neuter procedures. Provide clinical leadership and accurate care instructions to a team of veterinary technicians while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Requires a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor degree with an active Arizona license and DEA license. Candidates must have 2-3 years of veterinary practice experience and strong surgical and dental skills.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor Degree and license to practice in Arizona (or ability to obtain AZ license). Active DEA license required. 2-3 years of experience in a veterinary practice required. Experience working in an animal shelter preferred. Above average surgical and dental skills preferred. Orthopedic surgical skills a plus. Must work well in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service internally and externally. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Language Skills: Able to speak, read and write English; Spanish language helpful. Mathematical Skills: Understanding of retail and cash handling operations required. Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Explorer; able to learn other software programs as necessary. Proficiency with or ability to learn/use Chameleon software (for use with animals in a shelter environment). Paws Up For Great Benefits!
