The clinician collaborates with medical providers to coordinate care, serving as an independent practitioner for diagnosing and treating mental health illnesses, including providing brief interventions for crises and intensive care management for complex needs. Responsibilities also include conducting assessments, developing patient-centered treatment plans, providing longer-term therapy, and serving as a resource for the assigned care team pod.
A Master's level education in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling is required, along with specific licensure depending on the location (Licensed Independent Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Psychologist). Two years of experience in a medical setting is preferred.
