The LPN is responsible for ordering and dispensing medications, managing patient admissions, and documenting care activities. They also provide direct supervision to CNAs and Med Aides to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a current LPN license, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR certification. Experience with the senior population and familiarity with Point Click Care software are preferred.
Order and dispense medications according to physician’s orders
Carry out admissions and re-admissions
Document activities through Point Click Care (PCC), ADL Flow sheet, Restorative Sheets, various treatment sheets, charge sheets, etc., as established by the facility
Direct and supervise the care given by a CNA/Med Aide
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Current license to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
CPR certification
Able to work weekends
