The pediatrician will provide comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents, including well-child visits, sick care, and chronic condition management. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate electronic medical records and coordinating care with specialists and community resources.
Candidates must hold a medical degree (MD or DO) and a valid, unrestricted medical license in New Jersey. American Board of Pediatrics certification or eligibility is required along with strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
Provide comprehensive pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents, including well child, sick/acute care visits, and management of chronic conditions. Perform age-appropriate physical exams, developmental screenings, and behavioral assessments Administer immunizations and counsel families per CDC/AAP guidelines Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries and prescribe medications and treatments responsibly and accurately Provide anticipatory guidance on nutrition, growth, development, sleep, and safety and educate parents and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care Refer patients to specialists and follow up on consults and/or coordinate care with therapists, schools, and community resources when appropriate Review lab results, imaging, and reports and communicate findings to families Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records (EMR.) This includes completing visit notes, orders, and follow-up documentation. Perform minor in-office procedures such as ear irrigation, nebulizer treatments, rapid tests (strep, flu, etc.), hearing and vision screening. Expectation to see 20-25 patients over a full day, in appropriate timeframe. Full Time schedule consists of 4 days per week (9 hours), plus one evening weekly (3 hours), rotating weekly after hours on-call, rotating monthly weekend shift, holiday rotation. Part Time schedule consists of 2-3 days per week (9 hours), plus one evening weekly (3 hours), rotating weekly after hours on-call, rotating monthly weekend shift, holiday rotation.
