Job title: GI/Endoscopy Technician

Reports to: Director, Surgical Services

Position Summary

The GI/Endoscopy Technician is responsible to support and assist the gastroenterology (GI) specialist while they use endoscopes to perform exploratory procedures of the stomach, colon and esophagus, including colonoscopy preparation and biopsy specimen collection. The functions of this role include preparing the procedure room; troubleshooting, and cleaning of equipment and instrumentation; stocking, ordering, and tracking supplies. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Minimum six months of related experience preferred. Completion of a surgical technology training program preferred. CST certification preferred.
