The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform PET/CT imaging procedures and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. The role involves maintaining high standards of patient care and collaborating with a clinical team to support military and veteran health services.
Candidates must have at least two years of current work experience in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT, along with a valid ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification. Proficiency in IV starts, radiopharmaceutical injections, and basic computer skills including Microsoft Office is required.
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMT) for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) - PET/CT Technologist to join our dynamic team at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS). Work Hours: Monday – Sunday: Between the hours of Midnight – Midnight Including Holidays Lunch or dinner meal periods: employees that works an 8-hourshift shall be entitled to two (2) 15-minute breaks and one (1) 30-minute mealbreak. 40 hours per week.
Minimum of two (2) years of current work experience in Nuclear Medicine and PT/CT. Hold a current and valid ARRT (N) certification and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification. Have demonstrated experience starting Intravenous (IV), radiopharmaceutical injections, and contrast injections. IV certification is preferred but not required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Picture Achieving & Communication Systems (PACS) work experience; however, AGFA PACS experience is preferred but not required. Training provided as needed. Have basic computer skills. Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Software(e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
