The Medical Instrument Technician will perform ultrasound procedures at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System. They are responsible for maintaining patient care excellence while utilizing imaging systems and software.
Candidates must have at least two years of experience in medical sonography and hold a current Basic Life Support certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with PACS systems are also required.
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Medical Instrument Technicians (MIT) for Ultrasound Technician to join our dynamic team at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS). Work Hours: Monday – Sunday: Between the hours of Midnight – Midnight Including Holidays Lunch or dinner meal periods: employees that works an 8-hourshift shall be entitled to two (2) 15-minute breaks and one (1) 30-minute mealbreak. 40 hours per week.
Minimum of two (2) years of current work experience in Medical Sonography Encouraged, but not required, to hold a valid American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) (AB) certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Picture Achieving & Communication Systems (PACS) work experience; however, AGFA PACS experience is preferred but not required. Training provided as needed. Have basic computer skills. Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Software(e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
