Performs various duties in the treatment and care of patients under the supervision of nursing staff. Assists patients with activities of daily living and ensures established hospital procedures are followed.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of hospital experience or relevant certifications. Must hold a BLS certification and be capable of working in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
Under the supervision, and/or direction of the Nursing Director / Clinical Manager, Resource Nurse, or Staff Nurse, performs various duties in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established functions and procedures of the hospital. Position Qualification: High School graduate or equivalent work experience; and Minimum of six months experience as a Patient Care Tech in a hospital setting; or EKG, Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Certification; or Foreign Nurse/Physician with appropriate documentation. Nursing Student that completed 1st year of Nursing School. Requires a thorough knowledge of basic nursing functions to meet patient needs for ADL's must be able to work rapidly under stressful situations with many interruptions. Must successfully complete Glucometer training and pass online testing module. Licenses/Certifications: Required BLS certification from the American Red Cross. Point-of-care glucometer experience preferred: training provided upon hire. Must clear background and drug test required.
