The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MRI and X-ray exams while providing compassionate direct patient care. They also serve as a liaison between the radiology department and staff, assist with patient sedation, and participate in quality assurance processes.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology and hold current ARRT registration in both Radiology and MRI. Additionally, a current Iowa Permit to Practice and CPR certification are required.
Serves as a liaison between the Radiology Department, students, hospital staff and physicians. Educates and protects all customers entering the magnetic field. Assists with sedating and monitoring of patients. Assists in the educational training of the Student Radiologic Technologists. Assists with quality assurance processes.
EDUCATION: Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. ARRT Registered. Maintain yearly CEU requirements. Must be able to read, speak and write fluent English. EXPERIENCE: MRI experience preferred. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: ARRT Registered Radiology Technologist. ARRT MRI Board Registered. Current Iowa Permit to Practice preferred. CPR certified. #UPHST
