The Medication Aide administers prescribed medications and treatments while observing residents for any adverse effects. They also support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and socialization, to promote independence and dignity.
Candidates must have completed medication assistance training and hold a 16-hour Medication Certificate in compliance with state regulations. Prior direct care experience and current CPR certification are preferred.
Prior direct care experience preferred. High school diploma or GED. Current CPR certification preferred. Meets age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.
