The Clinical Device Coordinator acts as a patient advocate and educator to support cardiac device patients through their diagnosis and treatment journey. They work collaboratively with cardiologists and healthcare professionals to provide professional clinical management of device patients.
Candidates must hold an associate degree or higher in nursing and possess a current unrestricted Kentucky or compact state RN license. A minimum of 3 years of cardiology experience is required, along with Basic Life Support certification.
BHMG Cardiology Lexington The Clinical Device Coordinator is a patient educator, care coordinator, system navigator, and patient advocate with the mission to improve the cardiac experience for device patients at Baptist Health. The Clinical Device Coordinator works collaboratively with the patient and their support system, referring physicians and staff, cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support the cardiac device patient through diagnosis and treatment. Provides professional clinical management of device patients under the direction of Electrophysiology Physicians.
Associate degree or higher in nursing required Current unrestricted Kentucky or compact state license as a Registered Nurse OR licensed in the state of practice or Cardiac Specialist Certificate via Arrythmia Technologies Institute (ATI) OR certified vendor training (Abbott, Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic) At least 3 years of cardiology experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) via the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire and other advanced training as appropriate.
