• SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to safely, effectively and efficiently perform clinical assistant duties required to assist in meeting provider and patient needs. This position is staffed during normal business hours.

• RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist providers with administering patient care Prepare patients for provider examination including obtaining vital signs on all patients and documenting accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Perform pre-visit planning for applicable patient visits Educate patients and families as deemed necessary Maintain clean & organized work areas, exam rooms, and treatment rooms Apply treatments and dressings as requested by providers Perform clinic procedures as directed Receive and return patient telephone calls in a timely manner Refill medications per protocol Adhere to clinic and departmental procedures and protocols Clean and sanitize clinic instruments per clinic protocol Perform additional duties as assigned

• RESPONSIBILITIES: Remain punctual, reliable, and available for late coverage if applicable Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while supporting the clinic vision Maintain required certification and/or licensure applicable to degree Maintain current BLS CPR certification Work effectively under pressure in a fast pace environment Maintain a neat and well groomed professional appearance Interact positively with all interdisciplinary team members Maintain confidentiality of all information acquired through clinic employment Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, providers, internal personnel, and outside facilities Follow clinic emergency/safety protocols and attend mandatory meetings Abide by clinic protocols, ergonomic recommendations, and OSHA standards Adhere to the clinic philosophy and provide comprehensive care according to a patient-centered healthcare clinic
