The role involves performing physical exams, diagnosing acute illnesses and injuries, and executing minor surgical procedures. Additionally, the practitioner is responsible for prescribing medications, documenting patient visits in the EMR, and triaging patients for efficient throughput.
Candidates must hold a valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of practice. Experience in urgent care is preferred, along with strong knowledge of physiology and acute pain management techniques.
Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests (e.g., strep, flu) and X-rays.
Accurately document patient visits, history, and treatment plans in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
