• Hinesville, GA 31313JOB SUMMARY This position is for a CT Technologist whose responsibility is to provide direct patient care related to radiology services, in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state, and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures and professional standards. Provides safe and efficient imaging to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. Responsible for the supervision of professional or skilled personnel. • QualificationsMinimum level of
• Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a two-year radiology technology program.
• Formal
• Training: Preferred to be able to operate the following imaging services machines proficiently within three months of employment: C-Arm, PACS system, Xray, CT and MRI.
• Licensure,
• Certifications &
• Registration: American Registered Radiologic Technologist status. Current BLS Certification required.
• Work
• Experience: 1 year of MRI and CT experience. MRI & CT clinical competency required. Responsibility Focused Demonstrates a working knowledge of and/or location of organizational policies and procedures as well as adheres to them. Exhibits a working knowledge of information management, confidentiality, patient/residents safety, corporate compliance and infection control. Possesses knowledge of reporting errors or near misses without fear or blame/punishment for reporting accidents/incidents. Addresses and reports problems as they arise. Completes required competencies, licensure, certification and registration recertification in a timely manner, as well as participates in continuing education. Arrives to work on time, on scheduled days, during scheduled hours. Maintains flexibility with work schedule in meeting the needs of the department. Provides age specific care demonstrating knowledge of growth and development, system assessment and developing an interdisciplinary plan of care addressing culture, religion and ethnic preferences. Attends mandatory departmental meetings and in-services. Utilizes equipment and materials in a cost effective manner. Participates in performance improvement activities. Serves as a preceptor in orienting and/or training new personnel. Follows chain of command whenever issues or problems arise which are beyond scope of practice. Performs essential job functions in an acceptable quantity and quality.
