The veterinary technician will perform triage, stabilization, and advanced nursing care for patients in the emergency and ICU departments. They will also collaborate with specialists and veterinarians to provide continuous monitoring and treatment for critically ill animals.
Candidates must be a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) or eligible for VTNE certification. The role requires the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-stress clinical environment.
Full-time opportunity, 3 x 12-hour day shifts (7:00 PM–8:00 AM), with rotating weekends and limited holiday coverage.
$23 – $35/hour. Pay range is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials. About the Hospital At VCA Aurora Animal Hospital, you’ll be part of a 24/7 emergency, specialty, and primary care hospital providing advanced, team-based veterinary medicine. Our Emergency & Critical Care department includes a fully staffed ICU dedicated to continuous monitoring and treatment of critically ill patients. The Role As a Veterinary Technician in Emergency & Critical Care, you will play a vital role in patient care across both emergency and ICU settings. You will support cases ranging from triage and stabilization to intensive ongoing critical care, working closely with a collaborative ER and specialty team.
