The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients by assessing, planning, and implementing evidence-based treatment plans. They are responsible for coordinating patient care activities and maintaining professional standards within the intensive care unit.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program and hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia. New graduates are eligible to apply, though one year of hospital experience is required for PRN positions.
The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
