The Respiratory Therapist administers diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures as prescribed by a physician to support patient treatment and recovery. They are responsible for monitoring patient responses, managing mechanical ventilation, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and possess a valid Florida or Compact State license. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP, along with at least two years of professional respiratory therapy experience.
Education Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Life Support (ACLS)- American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Life Support (PALS)- American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Work Experience 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
