The Interventionist provides direct crisis intervention, safety planning, and skill building for youth and families at risk. They are responsible for conducting assessments in community settings and coordinating multi-agency care to prevent hospitalization or placement loss.
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Human Service field, with a Master's degree and license preferred. Candidates must have 1-3 years of professional experience in behavioral health and be willing to participate in an on-call rotation.
As an employee providing direct services to the public (youth and their families who are at risk for law enforcement involvement, inpatient hospitalization, frequent use of the emergency department, loss of placement in the community, disruption of family placement and relationships), the HBCI Family Interventionist plays an important role in advocacy, safety planning, crisis intervention, skill building, information/referral services and community education/outreach.
This position is considered full-time, salaried/exempt. The Interventionist responds to referrals for youth and families who are experiencing stress related to behavioral health challenges, provides assessments and initial safety planning, resource brokering, skill building, and on-call services to those appropriately referred to the program.
