The Medical Assistant supports providers by greeting patients, managing clinical flow, and assisting with medical procedures using sterile techniques. They are also responsible for recording patient vitals, maintaining medical charts, and ensuring compliance with safety and privacy regulations.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably a degree from an accredited Medical Assisting program or at least two years of clinical experience. Proficiency in medical terminology, vital signs, and Microsoft Office is required.
The Medical Assistant works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Provider(s), to greet patients; relay telephone messages to the appropriate recipients; assist with procedures; and perform various other assigned clinical responsibilities, utilizing sterile and aseptic techniques
