McKenney Home Care is a family-owned, private-duty home care agency serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. We are seeking skilled, dependable LPNs and RNs who are confident working independently and committed to providing high-quality care in the home.

This role is ideal for nurses looking for flexibility while still maintaining meaningful client relationships.

Schedule & Availability PRN scheduling based on client needs, with opportunities for: Day shifts Evening shifts Overnight shifts Weekends Flexible scheduling available with the potential for consistent case assignments.

Key Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care in the client’s home in accordance with the plan of care Monitor changes in patient condition Administer medications and treatments as ordered Support clients with chronic conditions and post-hospital care Educate clients and family members on care needs and safety Collaborate with physicians and the care team Maintain accurate and timely documentation in WellSky app Communicate proactively with the office regarding patient status or concerns

Qualifications

Active Florida LPN or RN license in good standing Home care experience preferred but not required Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a home setting Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance Current hands-on CPR certification (or willingness to complete) TB test (PPD or lab work within 6 months) or chest X-ray within 5 years (or willingness to obtain) Level 2 AHCA background screening (or willingness to complete) https://info.flclearinghouse.com Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability At McKenney Home Care, our nurses are respected, supported, and trusted to provide exceptional care.
