The LPN is responsible for dispensing medications, maintaining medical charts, and conducting physical screenings for children. Additionally, they coordinate medical appointments and assist in crisis intervention and behavior management systems.
Candidates must hold a current NY State LPN Certification and a minimum of a High School Diploma. Experience with the program's specific population and a clear background check are preferred.
¨ Dispense medication, pick up and implement orders from Psychiatrist & Medical
Doctors.
¨ Ensure medication compliance and medical chart maintenance.
¨ Conduct physical screenings of children.
¨ Coordinate medical appointments.
¨ Make appointments for outside services as indicated, check progress notes.
¨ Prepare list for infection control, order medical supplies.
¨ Assist in crisis intervention and recreational activities.
¨ Participate in behavior management system.
¨ Transport residents as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications: External
¨ Minimum of a High School Diploma, Associates Degree or above preferred.
¨ Current NY State LPN Certification required.
¨ Experience with the population of the program is preferred.
¨ Acceptable background clearance, including fingerprinting.
