The resident evaluates and treats patients in accordance with physician prescriptions across outpatient and acute care settings. They are responsible for completing required didactic and clinical hours while assisting in quality improvement and student training.
Candidates must hold a minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program and a California State PT license. Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy is preferred.

The Physical Therapy Neuro Clinic Resident at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California Physical is designed to provide the resident with one year of post-graduate advanced practice which includes: training in patient clinical practice and professional development and may include research, operational/administrative duties or program development. The resident ensures completion of required didactic, clinical and mentored hours, based upon the setting's needs and the requirements of the program. The resident will have an identified clinical mentor.
The Resident evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the prescription of the physician. The Resident provides patient care consistent with Scope of Practice Standards and Code of Ethics; the Plan for the Provision of Care to Patients, the Plan for Corporate Compliance, the Performance Improvement Plan and Patient Education Plan. The Resident assists in the continuous quality improvement process and in the education and training of students, as applicable, and assists in divisional growth and cohesiveness to ensure a high quality of therapy care. Competency skills include the ability to provide care maintaining safety of the environment, utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity and attention to special populations, including patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues and physical disabilities.
Physical therapy residency program is 50% outpatient & 50% acute care setting.
