Performs administrative tasks including scheduling and billing under physician direction. Executes clinical duties such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and preparing patients for examinations.
Requires a high school diploma and current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire, with 6 months of clinic experience preferred.
Performs administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
