The Nutritionist Associate determines nutrition eligibility for clients and prescribes appropriate food packages based on program guidelines. They perform nutritional assessments using the VENA technique and provide individualized patient counseling and dietary goals.
Candidates must have basic knowledge of nutrition standards and experience in patient education and data collection. Preferred qualifications include coursework in Dietetics, bilingual skills in Spanish, and experience with clinical measurements like blood samples.

This is a restricted position, which is solely funded by the Federal WIC grant. The availability of funding is scheduled for review annually. Annual funding cycle October 1 to September 30 of the following year. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds.
