Assist the dentist during clinical procedures, including scanning and fabricating temporaries, while managing instrument sterilization. Responsible for taking X-rays, maintaining a clean clinical environment, and providing patient education on oral hygiene.
Requires an active Maryland EFDA license, a Maryland Radiology license, and dental assistant certification. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred along with knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures (required experience with Scanning and fabricate temporaries) Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays as needed Set up and break down treatment rooms before and after procedures Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information Assist with taking dental impressions and preparing materials for dental appliances Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment Welcome patients and ensure patient comfort and help ease anxiety during treatments Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in the practice Other tasks as instructed
