Provides independent and coordinated care to critical care patients while serving as a clinical resource and mentor to other staff. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to manage patient outcomes and supports unit operations through charge nurse duties.
Requires an unencumbered Maryland or Compact RN license and at least two years of recent critical care nursing experience. Mandatory certifications include BLS and ACLS, with additional certifications based on the specific unit assignment.
This role is considered the minimum role for all nurses who have greater than 12 months experience. Provides and coordinates independent care to patients within a clinical specialty as a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team.
