Requires a minimum of 1+ year of veterinary experience and an active veterinary technician license for LVT candidates. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be comfortable working with stressed animals and anesthetic gases.

The Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician supports the attending ophthalmologist in diagnosing and treating ophthalmic disease in companion animals. This position is responsible for performing advanced surgical, medical, diagnostic, and laboratory procedures under the direction of a licensed Veterinary Ophthalmologist. This role requires excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with both the medical team and clients.

You’ll support our ophthalmology team by assisting with diagnostic testing, procedures, and patient care. Responsibilities include performing ophthalmic diagnostics, assisting in procedures and surgeries, monitoring patients, administering medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. You’ll also help prepare and recover patients, maintain equipment and supplies, and ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This role plays a key part in client communication—educating pet owners on ocular conditions, treatment plans, and at-Home care instructions.
