The Surgical Technologist supports surgeons and nurses by preparing sterile instruments and maintaining a safe operating room environment. Key duties include managing sterile fields, passing instruments, and performing critical counts of sponges and needles.
Candidates must have completed an accredited surgical tech training program and a high school diploma, with NBSTA certification required within one year. CPR certification is mandatory, and two years of experience is preferred.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a key role in the operating room, supporting surgeons and nurses in delivering exceptional care. You’ll prepare sterile instruments, maintain a safe environment, and ensure everything is ready for successful procedures. What you will do: Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgery Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle specimens Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts Clean OR post-procedure and prepare tools for sterilization What you will need: Completion of accredited surgical tech training program. National Board of Surgical Technology (NBSTA) Certification must be obtained within 1 year of completion of program.
