Performs technical electro diagnostic procedures and monitors cardiac rhythms to communicate critical information. Responsible for applying telemetry services and documenting patient data within the care team.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED along with proficiency in medical terminology and CPR-basic. Candidates must be able to operate electronic equipment and possess strong cardiac monitor interpretation skills.

Classification: Non Exempt
Performs technical procedures and functions for electro diagnostics. Observes cardiac monitors and identifies, calculates, interprets, and communicates information regarding cardiac rhythms. Applies and discontinues telemetry services as instructed. Enters edits, and other paperwork as applicable to the department.
High School Diploma or GED Required.

Licensure: N/A
Medical terminology and CPR-basic. Ability to operate electronic and computer-based equipment. Ability to recognize technical inferior EKG and take corrective action as appropriate. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of cardiac monitor interpretation, skills, and abilities. Must practice appropriate communication skills and sensitivity to patient's needs. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age, principles of growth and development over the life span and to accommodate cultural diversity among the patients being served. Must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient's status, to identify each patient's population specific or behavioral needs and provide the care as needed. Must be able to effectively teach others on cardiac rhythms. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
