The Medical Assistant supports orthopedic providers by managing patient intake, assisting with clinical procedures, and fitting durable medical equipment. They are also responsible for maintaining exam rooms and documenting patient encounters in the EMR system.
Candidates should ideally be a Certified Medical Assistant, EMT, or Athletic Trainer with BLS/CPR certification and a current TB test. Preference is given to those with at least one year of clinical or orthopedic experience and proficiency in Athenahealth.
