Medical Assistant

• Our mission is to provide general and advanced/interventional gastroenterology services in an Affable, Affordable & Accessible manner for Accurate Answers We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team.
• This role is ideal for someone who is confident in a fast-paced outpatient environment, comfortable with high volume patient loads, and able to integrate quickly with minimal training.
• Key Responsibilities Patient check-in and check-out.
• Insurance verification.
• Patient intake, vitals, medication reconciliation Completing medication refills and processing medication prior authorizations Order entry, CPT coding, and supporting the providers with documentation Understanding of common medications used to treat chronic conditions Strong proficiency with eClinicalWorks (ECW) Managing the fax inbox, including timely review, routing, and documentation Scheduling patient appointments, follow-ups, scheduling procedures (Colon, EGD, etc.) and coordinating provider workflows

Qualifications
