PEAK Veterinary Referral Center is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Urgent Care team in Williston, Vermont. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced veterinary team, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Compensation
$20-$34/hour, based on experience, skills assessment, and credentialing level.
Schedule • Four 10-hour shifts per week • Start times between 8
00
AM and 9:00 AM
One weekend shift per week (Saturday or Sunday)
Includes 2-3 holidays annually

Responsibilities
Triage urgent care patients and perform initial assessments, including medical history collection and vital signs

Perform diagnostic procedures including cytology, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, cystocentesis, urinary catheterization, laboratory testing, and radiography
Monitor patients during sedation and assist with procedures including wound care, laceration repair support, porcupine quill removal, and urinary obstruction management
Administer medications and outpatient treatments, including subcutaneous fluids
Review discharge instructions and medications with clients to ensure continuity of care
Provide compassionate client support during euthanasia appointments
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout treatment areas, kennels, and hospital spaces
Support a positive, collaborative team environment focused on exceptional patient care
Qualifications
Veterinary Technician experience in general practice, urgent care, emergency, or specialty medicine preferred
CVT, RVT, or LVT credentials are welcomed but not required
Strong patient care, technical, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced veterinary environment
Team-oriented with a positive and collaborative attitude
Passion for learning and professional growth
Comfortable working with urgent and critical cases
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
