The LPN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care for a group of patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. They report to the Department Director and ensure safe, cost-effective healthcare delivery.
Candidates must be a graduate of a Practical Nursing Program registered in New York State or another state. BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire, with ACLS required for critical care units.
A caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients under the supervision/direction of a registered nurse. Reports to the Director of Department to which assigned.
Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program registered by the New York State Education or by the licensing authority of another state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire date. Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required in critical care units.
Appreciable physical effort required. Moving, lifting and assisting patients whose size and physical abilities can vary greatly. Some lifting, reaching and stooping. Required to be on feet much of the time.
