Registered Nurse - Med-Surg

About the Role

• As a Registered Nurse in the Med-Surg unit at Wagoner Community Hospital, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from surgery or managing acute medical conditions.
• Your primary responsibility will be to assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress throughout their stay.
• You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that all aspects of patient care are addressed, including physical, emotional, and educational needs.
• Additionally, you will be responsible for educating patients and their families about post-discharge care and resources available to them.
• Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction within our community hospital setting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited nursing program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs upon admission and throughout their hospital stay.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and adjust care plans based on patient progress.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and recovery processes.
