The Advanced Practice Provider will evaluate, assess, and treat patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders, providing both outpatient and endoscopic care. They will also instruct patients on treatment plans under the supervision of a Gastroenterologist.
Candidates must have completed an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and hold the necessary licenses and certifications. General gastroenterology experience is preferred, and candidates must maintain CME requirements.
Park Nicollet Clinic is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well established and expanding Gastroenterology practice. Being a part of our team means you will have an impact on the care that our patients receive every day.
This position will provide care at our Park Nicollet Gastroenterology Clinic located in the Digestive and Endoscopy Center on the Methodist Hospital campus in St. Louis Park, the Park Nicollet Burnsville Clinic or Park Nicollet Maple Grove Clinic.
The Digestive and Endoscopy Center provides both outpatient clinic and endoscopic care and treatment of disorders of the GI tract and liver.
will include evaluation, assessment and treatment of clinical problems and health care needs, instructing patients on treatment and planning under the supervision of a Gastroenterologist. The position will see a variety of patients seeking care with GI and liver disorders and will include some weekend rounding at Methodist Hospital in St Louis Park. Candidates must be certified and licensed. General gastroenterology experience preferred.

Discusses and develops diagnosis and treatment plan with staff gastroenterologist.

a. Assesses and completes H&P on new consults as selected/assigned.
b. Orders diagnostic testing as indicated.
c. Evaluates treatment for assigned patients and communicates information to physician partner.
d. Designs follow-up plan for patients to be seen in the clinic when discharged from the hospital.
e. Documents assessment, treatment, evaluation, and follow-up plan in the electronic medical record.

Discusses with and instructs patient/family members regarding treatment and follow-up.
