The Unit Coordinator manages communications between staff and patients while facilitating the admission and transfer processes. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate medical records within the Hospice House.
Candidates should have a one-year certificate or 3-6 months of related healthcare experience, preferably with knowledge of medical terminology. A valid driver's license, safe driving record, and basic computer skills are required.
• Ohio’s Hospice patients will receive quality health information communication during their stay in the Hospice House. The Unit Coordinator is responsible for Hospice House communications between staff and patients, and facilitation of the admission and transfer process for patients entering and leaving the Hospice House and maintaining medical records. The Unit Coordinator is committed to the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospice concept of care
